Pierce Brosnan and Keely Shaye Smith’s story began in Mexico in 1994, at a time when Pierce was carrying both fame and deep personal loss. A few years earlier, he had lost his first wife, Cassandra Harris, to ovarian cancer, and Keely came into his life during a chapter when love probably felt anything but simple.

Keely was working as a journalist and television correspondent, and Pierce was already known to fans from Re*****on Steele and was about to enter a whole new level of fame as James Bond. Their connection grew steadily, and the two built a relationship that seemed grounded long before the red carpets and movie premieres became part of their life together.

They were married on August 4, 2001, in Ireland, and went on to raise two sons together, Dylan and Paris. Happy birthday today to Macaulay Culkin, born August 26, 1980 in New York City! Most of us watched Macaulay grow up on screen, from his early appearance alongside John Candy in Uncle Buck (1989) to becoming one of the biggest child stars in movie history as Kevin McCallister in Home Alone and Home Alone 2. He followed those films with My Girl, The Good Son, and Richie Rich, but growing up famous came with challenges, and Macaulay eventually stepped away from Hollywood and spent years trying to figure out what he wanted his adult life to look like.

A big part of the answer seems to have arrived when he met actress Brenda Song in 2017 while making Changeland. Macaulay has spoken openly about how different his life feels today, and Brenda appears to have brought a sense of stability, love, and normalcy that was often missing during his unusual childhood. The two are homebodies who have built a relatively private life together, far removed from the Hollywood spotlight Macaulay experienced as a kid. They are now parents to two sons, Dakota and Carson, and Macaulay has described fatherhood and his relationship with Brenda as giving him the kind of family life he had long wanted.

Perhaps the best indication of how much his life has changed came when Macaulay received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2023. With Brenda sitting in the audience, he became emotional while thanking her, calling her his "champion" and saying she had given him purpose and family. For someone whose childhood played out so publicly, there is something especially nice about seeing him now seemingly content with a much quieter life centered around the woman he loves and the family they've created together.

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell first met back in 1966 on the set of Disney’s The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band. Goldie was 21 and already getting started in Hollywood, while Kurt was just 16 and still a young actor, so their love story would have to wait.

Years later, they crossed paths again while auditioning for the 1984 film Swing Shift, and this time the timing was different. They became a couple in 1983 and quickly built a life together, blending their families (Oliver, Kate, and Boston) and later welcoming their son, Wyatt Russell.

Goldie and Kurt never got married, but more than 40 years later, they are still together.
