In a fast paced world of fleeting trends and ever shifted styles, ofttimes we miss the enduring. Mahnal takes inspiration from the places we find most meditative. The collection explores themes like silhouettes in nature, the repetition of lines in architecture, or how light plays against texture. Hopefully, with each piece's organic imperfections, we're inspired to slow down and feel again.

WHY OOAK?
OOAK pieces are individual, inspired works of art each with their own story. Each taking form from semi-precious stones, findings, and beads I’ve collected and gathered during travels over the past 7 years. Because the main collection on our website is exclusively solid brass, these are always a special treat. After years of creating and sharing Mahnal, the time has come to close this beautiful chapter. 🥲 At the end of March, I’ll be closing the Mahnal studio.

2024 was such an incredible year—from being part of the Madewell Maker Collective to features in Essence Magazine, Oprah, Elle, etc. But after welcoming our sweet baby boy Amil, and seeing Raaid defy expectations by entering the 5th grade just before turning 8 (proud mama moment! 😂), I’ve realized this is a pivotal time for our family. I do feel that now is the time to focus fully on nurturing their growth and supporting their dreams.
This is a CELEBRATION! 🎊 I want to celebrate this journey with you—the incredible customers who’ve made it not only possible, but unforgettable. As you may know we love to gift our stans, gifters, casual admirers and everything in between- and do so in the most lavishly exclusive way. In honor of the infamous Mahnal ‘private access’ lists, we’ve got one more for the hoorah. Because we anticipate pieces to sell out quickly, this is the best way to secure early access to:

Playing around with Ai generated backgrounds… Idk how practical a rock jewelry display would be, but it’s pretty! 😂 Not too bad right by? That’s one way to breathing new life into a picture I took circa 2017 lol! (Original on the last slide)

I can really see having fun with creating moods and worlds around concepts that you just wouldn’t be able to explore physically. With all that being said- I can’t wait for our next photoshoot! Just imagining all the new ways we can dream-up something magical…

What I love most about designing jewelry is adding the little touches of texture that gives it imperfect-yet perfect character. It gives the piece life. After creating any design I step back and ask what it wants… that’s usually a nick here or a smudge there that’s totally based on feeling. A miniature work of art with a spirit of its own…
This process is so fitting for Hasaa in particular because of her backstory reflecting the process of removing imperfections and being refined in our messy, yet also perfectly imperfect human process.
