Keith Leclerc began his venture in the jewelry business 40+ years ago as a coin and bullion dealer. Two years after beginning this business, Johnston Matthey approached Keith about being a distributor of gold chain and jewelry. This brought about rapid growth and led to Keith taking Carlos Urena as a partner. Together they formed KMA Sunbelt Trading Corp., a wholesaler of gold and fine jewelry. As

their business grew, they were able to establish strategic partnerships to cut and manufacture diamonds in Brazil and Israel. This allowed them to quickly become an aggressive distributor of finer loose diamonds and colored stones from Belgium, Russia, and Israel. In 1990, as the wholesale business continued to grow and expand across the globe, the first retail showroom was opened, The International Diamond Center in Clearwater, FL, making the vast wholesale inventory available directly to the public. It was at this time that the foundational philosophy of the business was laid. Buy direct, eliminate the middleman, and pass the savings on to the consumer. This philosophy along with operating with honesty and integrity has allowed IDC to become one of the southeast's leading independent jewelry stores with ten retail locations. In 2007 IDC returned to its early roots and opened a new division, IDC Coin & Bullion. IDC Coin & Bullion specializes in rare coins and precious metals. This rapidly growing division is focused on becoming one of the industry leaders in certified rare coins and precious metals. Making IDC what it is today is our knowledgeable staff of professionals, including multiple Guild Gemologists and master jewelers, who look forward to serving you in the future.
