Keep your eye on the destination, not on the hard times.
Last week, we bought the cutest building.
For most people, it may look like just a building. For me, it is a reminder of how far God has brought this dream.
In 2010, Deep South Originals started inside my home as a side hustle. I was simply trying to build something of my own, one step at a time.
Over the years, inventory slowly took over spare bedrooms, the garage, and just about every free space we had. What began as a small idea has grown into a wholesale jewelry business serving boutiques across the country.
There were plenty of moments when I questioned if I was doing things right. Times when growth felt slow. Times when I wondered if all the hard work would ever lead to something bigger. But I kept trying, kept learning, kept pushing through, and trusted that God was working even when I could not see the full picture.
Now, Deep South Originals has officially outgrown my house and moved into a place of its own.
We are now located in Cleveland, Mississippi, and our new building will serve as:
• Our wholesale fulfillment center
• Our wholesale showroom
• A space for in-person wholesale appointments
• A place for FaceTime appointments on select days so customers can preview new arrivals before purchasing
We will still be wholesale only with our e-commerce website, but this space gives us room to grow, serve our retailers better, and create a more personal shopping experience for boutique owners.
Beginning next Friday, we will officially open for wholesale appointments.
I am so grateful for every boutique owner, customer, employee, friend, and family member who has supported this journey. Thank you for believing in Deep South Originals and being part of this next chapter.
This building is not the destination. It is simply the next step.
