Huge thank you to Judy at Creative Space Avon for all her hard work putting together these exhibits! It was an honor to be a part of such a talented group of artists!

Some of the pieces throughout a gallery in Avon Sunday afternoon were made of standard materials, like acrylic paint and fabrics. Other pieces, however, were made from things not always associated with art, like carpet fibers and 3-D printed materials.

Even when you think you've done all you can to eradicate the toxic person from your life, they will manage to find a way to cling to something and manage to control your life. This piece is a nod to the struggles Judy Garland had and the control over her she couldn't be free from. I still hold space for what remains a fantasy that there is a place where blue birds fly and dreams really do come true...where I am free. Until then, I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop.

It's been a challenge getting back into creating, but here we are. I have a few things in the works inspired by my journey healing from narcissistic abuse. I feel so much happier and free from coping and hiding myself for the sake of someone else. These projects are reminders to myself to be strong, confident, courageous, and let my true self blossom.
