Things I’d do differently if I moved to Tryon, North Carolina ……👇
1️⃣ Explore more of the surrounding areas first
I’d spend more time not just in Tryon, but also in Saluda, Columbus, and Landrum. Each one has its own rhythm, and where you land really shapes your day-to-day life.
2️⃣ Pay attention to the drive (especially in the mountains)
What looks close on a map can feel very different with curves, elevation, and back roads. I’d drive my “normal week” before choosing where to live.
3️⃣ Rent before buying
Even a short-term stay would’ve helped me understand the pace of Tryon and what kind of setting I actually wanted whether that’s tucked away or closer to town.
4️⃣ Find my go-to spots early
From morning coffee to weekend walks near Foothills Equestrian Nature Center, those little routines make this place feel like home fast.
5️⃣ Talk to more locals
Tryon is all about community. The best insight into this area comes from the people who’ve built their lives here.
