This 12.50ct White Opal is set in 14kwg with 1.50cttw accent diamonds. Opals weigh less than other gemstones, due to their high water content (up to 20%) so they are far larger for the same weight as other stones. Opals require special care to avoid drying out (which can create visible cracks that mute the colors and impact the durability of the stone).
