The Jeweler’s Bench was opened in 1981 in Columbia Tn. We had a jewelry store in Pulaski named “TOMMY’S JEWELS ( opposite end of Walmart when it was across the street from current store). My dad was Tommy and my mother’s name was Jewel. My parents both quit school early (mom got her GED) and Dad grew up way earlier than kids should. He was street smart and managed to have 3 successful businesses with a 7th grade education with lots of help from my mom. They inspired me that anything is possible. I’m a high school graduate - no college - my choice. I too had a successful business in Loudon Tennessee for 26 years before coming home to care for dad. Buried mom in 2006 and dad in 2021. The Jeweler’s Bench is closing end of 2026 and will OPEN FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS. We own the building and it’s NOT for sale. Gonna have sales periodically for certain events ( Valentines, Mother’s Day, Christmas ECT.) A big shout out to Rick Violet ( worked at The Jeweler’s Bench for 15 years). I’m recommending him for future repairs along with watch repairs and engraving on almost anything. Rick is located in Etheridge Tennessee at the Amish Flea Market ( RED BUILDING ).
