A remarkable early 20th-century weaving, distinguished by its rich color, intricate patterning, and exceptional sense of detail.

The term “Germantown” refers to commercially produced wool yarns from Germantown, Pennsylvania, which became available to Diné weavers in the late 19th century. The introduction of these vibrant yarns brought new possibilities for color and design, resulting in some of the most distinctive weavings of the period.

More than a century later, this piece remains a beautiful testament to the skill, creativity, and enduring legacy of Diné weaving.
