If you stopped by our window display, you may have noticed a sixth gemstone displayed in its own capsule.

This is a Japanese-cut green sillimanite from India—a lesser-known gemstone that many people have never had the opportunity to see in person. While it wasn't part of our five-gem challenge, we couldn't resist sharing one more beautiful shade of green.

One of the things we love most about colored gemstones is that there's always something new to discover. Sometimes the most memorable gems are the ones you've never heard of before. đź’š

Thank you to everyone who took a closer look at our display and shared your guesses! One of the joys of colored gemstones is discovering just how many shades of green nature creates.

Here are the answers to our five-gem challenge:
