What a great turnout celebrating the Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting of The Edit House!

There is so much heart behind this new business. Katie created The Edit House to be about more than clothing, a place for women to gather, find something unexpected, and hopefully walk out feeling a little more confident than when they walked in. And after seeing the space filled with friends, family, and community members today, we'd say she's off to a pretty great start!

And the celebration isn’t over yet! The Edit House is open until 8:00 PM tonight, so stop by, take a look around, tell Katie congratulations, and support a brand-new business right here in Wakulla County!

Congratulations, Katie! We are so excited to celebrate this new chapter with you and can’t wait to see what’s ahead for The Edit House.

What a fantastic evening in Panacea!

A huge thank you to Barn's Spirits for hosting tonight’s Business After-Hours. We had a wonderful turnout, the food was fantastic, and the conversations around the room were exactly what these events are all about, old friends catching up, business partners connecting, and plenty of new connections being made along the way.

We are so fortunate to have Niraj and his family as part of our Chamber and our Wakulla County community. Their support, involvement, and investment in our community does not go unnoticed, and we’re grateful for the hospitality they showed everyone tonight.

A special thank you to our Business After-Hours Committee for the time and work they put into making these gatherings happen, and to everyone who came out and spent the evening with us.

People do business with people they know, and connections matter. Whether tonight meant catching up with an old friend, talking business with a longtime partner, or meeting someone for the very first time that’s what Chamber networking is all about.

There’s a LOT happening at the Chamber!
The next few weeks are packed with opportunities to connect, support our members, and celebrate businesses right here in Wakulla County.
Coming up:
- Oct. 14 – Nonprofit Network Resource Group
- Oct. 15 – October Business After-Hours - Barn's Spirits
- Oct. 16 – Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening – The Edit House
- Oct. 28 – Our FINAL 2026 Luncheon October Networking Luncheon
- Oct. 29 – Ausley McMullen Ribbon Cutting & Open House

And we’re not done yet! We have two more ribbon cuttings in the works, pending final details, plus a full November calendar, including the return of the The Wakulla Chamber Classic on November 19!

There is a lot happening, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate and support our Chamber businesses.

What a fantastic turnout this morning as we celebrated the ribbon cutting and grand opening of the new Wakulla County Public Library!

This beautiful facility is such an incredible addition to our community. In a rural community like Wakulla, a library is so much more than books. It is access to technology, resources, programs, meeting spaces, learning opportunities and connections that might not otherwise be available close to home. It truly is a place for everyone.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate this exciting day with us, and a special thank you to everyone who had a hand in bringing this project to fruition. Thank you to the Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners Administration, our County Commissioners, and the many County employees who worked behind the scenes and out front to bring this project together. And thank you to contractor Jay Estes and his team for their work in bringing the vision for this beautiful new facility to life. From years of planning to construction and all the countless details along the way, it took a lot of people working together to make this new library a reality.

And, of course, a huge thank you to the Wakulla County Public Library staff who make our library what it is every single day. We can't wait to see all the ways you bring this beautiful new space to life!

What happens when you put the organizations serving Wakulla County all in one room? A whole lot of resources, connections and people who genuinely want to help.

Today’s Wakulla County Nonprofit & Community Resource Fair brought together more than 20 organizations to connect our community with resources for themselves, their families, their neighbors or maybe someone they don’t even know needs help yet. Or a great cause to volunteer for.

That is exactly why this Nonprofit Network Resource Group was created: to bring our nonprofits and community organizations together, help them connect with one another, share resources and ultimately better serve Wakulla County.

A special thank you to Wakulla Giving Hands for providing food bags for those in need, to every organization that set up and shared what they do, and to everyone who stopped by to learn, ask questions, volunteer or simply find out what resources are available right here in our community.

And a BIG thank you to Patrick Allison with Caroline’s Agape Project for the work he put into bringing today’s Resource Fair together!

Wakulla has some pretty incredible organizations doing important work and we’re even stronger when we work together.

There’s plenty happening starting Friday and into the weekend! From painting and a little murder mystery to shopping local, swapping instead of tossing, connecting with community resources and more, our Chamber members have a lot going on.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2

● Annual 4-H Haybale Decorating Contest – Registration Deadline
• Friday, October 2

Our members at UF IFAS Extension Wakulla County - 4H are bringing a little fall fun around Wakulla with their Annual 4-H Haybale Decorating Contest! Friday is the deadline to register, with haybales to be completed by 5:00 PM Saturday, October 3.

● Good Riddance: A Gnarly 1990s Murder Mystery
• 5:00–10:00 PM
• The Lodge at Wakulla Springs

Our members at The Lodge at Wakulla Springs are taking it back to the ’90s for an interactive murder mystery dinner! Follow the clues, uncover the secrets and see if you can solve the mystery. Dinner is included and costumes are encouraged.

● KWCB Paint Party
• Doors open at 6:00 PM | Class begins at 7:00 PM
• Palaver Tree Theater

Our members at Keep Wakulla County Beautiful are kicking off the weekend with a Paint Party fundraiser featuring local artist Rachell Mathis! No experience is needed, all supplies are included and the cost is $45 per person. Come create, relax and support a cleaner, greener Wakulla!

Our members at Keep Wakulla County Beautiful are rethinking what we throw away! Bring what you don’t use and take what you’ll love, everything is free. It’s a fun way to give good items a new home and keep them out of the landfill. Less landfill, more love!

• Camp Gordon Johnston WWII Museum

Saturday is the final day to visit this special exhibit from our members at Camp Gordon Johnston Museum. Admission is free.

Our members at Paul & Asha's Kitchen are now serving DINNER!

That means you can now enjoy Paul and Asha’s from breakfast all the way through dinner Tuesday–Saturday and yes, they’ve got b**r, w**e and cocktails, too!
