Memovox rescue mission! Abused for decades by watchmakers over their heads, this poor JLC Memovox w/cal k825 needed a lot of work. Hairspring was toast and had to be re-formed by hand, mainspring barrel and arbor were mismatched and had to be refinished to prevent arbor binding, alarm wheel carrier spring was installed upside-down and had spent years grinding away at the date driving wheel, canon pinion was so loose you could sneeze and it would fall off, balance end shake was excessive due to the old-timer watchmaker divot under the balance c**k mutilation technique, and on and on. Thankfully this watch still has an excellent patina on it's original dial so it was all worth it. Back to its best again and heading back to its owner.
