Father’s Day is this Sunday, and if you’re still searching for the perfect gift, we’d love to help.

I walked past this ring at Collins Jewelers for weeks before finally trying it on.

Maybe it’s because I need a vacation. Maybe it’s because the water is calling my name. But every time I look at it, I see waves rolling onto the shore. The movement of the band reminds me of water in motion, and that dreamy blue stone looks like it was pulled straight from the ocean.

It also made me think about how often our favorite pieces of jewelry are tied to memories. A beach proposal. An anniversary trip. A family vacation you’ll never forget. A place that still feels like home every time you think about it.

The custom ring Kelly Ann designed—the one inspired by a fictional heroine known for her courage, resilience, and fierce devotion—found its forever home today while it was still fresh from the jeweler’s bench.

What makes this story even more special isn’t how quickly the ring sold.

It’s why.

The customers connected so deeply with the story behind the piece that they requested the bio be included with the appraisal so it could remain part of the ring’s history.

That is the power of meaningful design.

A beautiful gemstone may catch someone’s eye, but a story captures their heart.

We’re incredibly proud of Kelly Ann for creating a piece that resonated so strongly, and we’re excited to share that she has already designed another piece for this collection.

What inspires a custom jewelry design?

For Ella Langley, it was an album.

For our designer Kelly Ann, it was a character she couldn't stop thinking about.

And that got us thinking about where great jewelry really begins.

When we saw the custom dandelion necklace created for Ella Langley, we were reminded that the most meaningful jewelry often starts long before a gemstone is selected. It starts with a story.

For Kelly Ann, inspiration came from a fictional heroine known for her courage, resilience, and fierce devotion to those she loves. After spotting this striking green stone in our inventory, she knew it was waiting for the right design.

The sharp, dramatic center stone represents strength and determination, while the flowing filigree details soften the design with grace, compassion, and heart.
