The custom ring Kelly Ann designed—the one inspired by a fictional heroine known for her courage, resilience, and fierce devotion—found its forever home today while it was still fresh from the jeweler’s bench.

The customers connected so deeply with the story behind the piece that they requested the bio be included with the appraisal so it could remain part of the ring’s history.

What inspires a custom jewelry design?

For Ella Langley, it was an album.

For our designer Kelly Ann, it was a character she couldn't stop thinking about.

And that got us thinking about where great jewelry really begins.

When we saw the custom dandelion necklace created for Ella Langley, we were reminded that the most meaningful jewelry often starts long before a gemstone is selected. It starts with a story.

For Kelly Ann, inspiration came from a fictional heroine known for her courage, resilience, and fierce devotion to those she loves. After spotting this striking green stone in our inventory, she knew it was waiting for the right design.

The sharp, dramatic center stone represents strength and determination, while the flowing filigree details soften the design with grace, compassion, and heart.

Our custom pendant, Grace and Gallop, created for the live auction at the incredible McKenna Farms Derby Day event, did not sell that evening — which means this one-of-a-kind piece is now available for purchase in-store at Collins Jewelers with 100% of the proceeds benefiting McKenna Farms and the life-changing work they do for special needs children and their families. 🤍

At the center of this piece is a vibrant yellow lab-created diamond that absolutely radiates warmth, strength, and joy — surrounded by details intentionally designed to reflect grace, resilience, and individuality. From the movement inspired by the rhythm of the horse to the soft Southern elegance woven throughout the design, every detail was created with heart by our jewelers, Marty Collins and Brady Collins.

“Grace and Gallop” was created for someone who carries both strength and grace with quiet confidence — honoring where they’ve been while celebrating where they are now.

A special video will be coming soon featuring Marty and Brady sharing the inspiration, craftsmanship, and story behind this meaningful piece in more detail. But for now, we wanted to share the heart behind it through the original bio card and these photos. ✨
