This Eastern Roman Empire AE Nummus of Arcadius dates from 383–408 AD – nearly 1600 years ago!
Arcadius was the son of Emperor Theodosius I and became ruler in the eastern half of the Roman Empire during a time of major change. By this period, the Roman Empire had been divided into eastern and western halves — and the Eastern Roman Empire would eventually grow into what we know today as the Byzantine Empire.
Pretty cool score for anyone who appreciates coin collecting and Roman history! Available now at https://decaturcoinandjewelry.com/product/eastern-roman-empire-383-408-ad-arcadius-ae-nummus-vf-at550/
