A GIA Graduate Gemologist education isn’t a weekend certificate or a quick online course. Deep completed a 6.5-month intensive training process focused on grading, identifying, and understanding stones at a professional level.

That includes:

- roughly 6 weeks focused on diamond grading
- analyzing and grading 1,000+ diamonds
- proving accuracy before advancing
- then months of colored-stone training
-identifying natural vs. synthetic stones
- recognizing treatments, color characteristics, and origin factors that can affect value

Carat with a C = the unit of measurement used for diamonds and gemstones.
Karat with a K = the purity of gold, like 10K, 14K, or 18K.

Same sound. Completely different meaning.
