Scott is in Antwerp right now, looking through natural, earth-mined diamonds—and tomorrow is his final day in the diamond offices.

Seven years together…and Lilly may have given Gavin just a little head start on the ring. 😉💍

Meet our newest Stambaugh Couple, Gavin & Lilly!

High school sweethearts Gavin and Lilly have been together for seven years, so when Lilly started thinking about what her someday engagement ring might look like, she knew exactly who she could show: her cousin Ty here at Stambaugh Jewelers.

She came in with inspiration photos—and a pretty clear vision of what she loved. From there, Ty created a custom design that was almost exactly what Lilly had pictured: a 14kt white gold bypass-style engagement ring with a beautiful oval center diamond.

Then Lilly's part was done. 😉

Gavin took over, working with Ty to nail down the final details before picking up the finished ring and planning the part Lilly didn't know about.

And judging by these gorgeous photos from their proposal at the Michigan dunes, we'd say he did pretty well. ❤️

After seven years together, these two are officially headed toward forever.

Gavin & Lilly, thank you for letting Ty and Stambaugh Jewelers be a little part of your story. We couldn't be happier for you both!

The question is…should they be looking for something for YOU?

And no—you don't need to know exactly what you want.

You can literally tell us: “I want an oval, my budget is around $5,000, and I have no idea what size or diamond characteristics I should be looking for.”

That's enough to start. We'll help you figure out the rest.

She knew exactly what she wanted. And I knew I wasn’t coming home with a diamond I didn’t love. 💎🇧🇪

This customer was celebrating TWO big milestones—her anniversary and her retirement—with a diamond upgrade. She had already chosen her new wide-band solitaire and asked me to find a beautiful 2-carat round diamond in Antwerp.

She was very specific about color and clarity. Her current diamond was beautiful, and going bigger wasn’t worth sacrificing the things she loved about it. She also gave me a budget to work within.

So…I went shopping. 😂

And as you can see, I was a little picky.

When I finally found this 2.24-carat round, it was slightly larger than we'd planned, but the color and clarity were exactly what she wanted—and it was close enough to budget that I knew I had to show her.
I sent her a video from Antwerp, called her and said, “If I were getting one, this is the one I’d get.”

She said YES. ❤️

And when we got home? She loved it. We set it into the mounting she'd chosen, and it was absolutely stunning.

THIS is why we go to Antwerp. It’s not about simply buying diamonds. It’s having the opportunity to look, compare, reject the “pretty good” ones and keep searching until we find the one that is perfect for our customer.
