In 1945 Marv Tashne found his life’s work when he became fascinated with the art of jewelry making. Marv seized the opportunity of learning every aspect of the business from his brother who was a master craftsman at fine jewelry making. The family instilled in their children the importance of honest hard work and perfection to details that

goes along with high quality jewelry. Kirk, Marv’s son, grew up in the business and learned old school values that have contributed to the success of Jewels by Tashne. Jewels by Tashne has, for nearly three quarters of a century, been known for quality, integrity and for exceeding the expectation of its customers. After 67 years of working in the jewelry industry, today Marv’s greatest passion is taking nature’s greatest treasures, rubies, diamonds, emeralds and sapphires, and having the vision to design them into exquisite pieces that become family heirlooms. Located in Del Mar with its rich history, Jewels by Tashne features the work of some of the most renowned jewelry designers in the world. He also holds a degree in biology from the University of California San Diego.
