This one is called Green Leaf Jasper, and I really wanted to accentuate the natural, rough-cut lines of this bead. It gave me a chance to use some of my favorite wirework: intentionally coarse, but also balanced, (hopefuly) not unlike the stones themselves.

Abalone (or Paua Shell) is to me the essence of beauty. It's rough, but shimmers, it seems to contain every color, from light to dark, green blue turquoise black, with the bright shine of the light cascading across it. The natural shell has such a brilliant color side, but such a rough face to the outside world. It lives in the ocean, always the currents of life shaping and moving it. Oy, nobody wakes up in the morning saying "gee, I really wish I could spend several hours researching my shipping options and rates for my wonderful customers." But that's just what I've done over the last couple of days. Sadly, my basic rate of USPS shipping must go up a little, but I am still able to get a discounted rate on my shipping labels ...

(2) USPS Priority $13.50 or
(3) UPS Ground Saver $8.00
