My Journey
Rescued & Restyled Vintage/antique treasures and Mixed Media art
As a child I always gravitated towards arts & crafts, on top of that my father taught me a valuable lesson of ‘repairing and restoring’ at a young age. My artistic journey began as a young girl making a variety of floral arrangements for my family. I continued doing so all the way through college while working part time at a hardware/paint store (when my love for all things spray paint began) I continued to create, design and sell at weekend craft shows. Once working full time in the finance industry I continued to design. In fact, I created all the office floral arrangements as well as created arrangements and art for friends and customers. Fast forward a few years, a beautiful marriage, 3 healthy boys (now young men) and my creativity takes on many hats from running craft workshops/classrooms, chairing an environmental club, as well as chairing large fund raisers, event planning and being the president of two non-profits organizations. Now that my family is grown and my time is more my own, my joy is in rescuing furniture and other materials and when necessary changing their identities into mixed media works of art. I currently have a home studio which allows me to create daily, design glass art as well as upcycling small furniture. I take tremendous pride and joy in everything I create and Changed Identity is a true compilation of my life’s journey.
