So so very pleased with how this turned out! It’s a beautiful design and comprehensive pattern.

I modified the back by adding a panel with buttons, and made the straps thick with buttons on the ends as well. I prefer having the back close all the way instead of lacing. Hopefully just as lovely as the original design.

I used a cotton/synthetic blend from a thrift store sweater I unraveled.

Wrapping the wet yarn (cotton/acrylic blend) around the back of a chair with some tension did the job. It has straightened significantly and is ready to be wound into balls for knitting or crocheting. So glad this worked!

Unraveled a thrift store sweater and soaked the yarn to try and remove the twists. Didn’t quite do the job.
I’m going to wet the skein again and then wind it tight around a chair. We’ll check back tomorrow to see if it straightens out over night!
