PhoenixFire Designs Official Shop Assistant Ginger (aka The FLÖÖF) is offering emotional support as I *try* to get some work done in the studio. Every time I move my right arm (my dominant hand), or....ya know, breathe, I'm getting STABS OF BURNING HELLFIRE in my shingles rash. Explain to me why it hurts more TODAY, four days into my seven day antiviral treatment than it did when I started?? 😢

Not that anyone was doubting this fact, but SHINGLES SUCK.

My rash is under my right armpit so it's constantly being touched/rubbed by my clothing and my arm which is miserable. Can't wear a bra; can't wear anything that touches the skin.

The blisters have progressed to the fluid-filled bump stage now so hopefully, they'll scab in a few days. Once they scab, I'm no longer infectious. (But infection is TOUCH based so I'm not airborne contagious.)

In the meantime, however, it BURNS and ITCHES and gives these ZAPS of pure electric fire.

Just as painful though - and something i wasnt prepared for - is my right shoulder blade/spine area. Feels like someone punched me. Or like, I was in a car accident or something. It's SO DEEPLY HURTING. Because the virus lives in the nerves along your spine (that's a fun though, huh?), it causes pain along your nerve pathways.

So yeah. Kinda miserable if I'm being honest. And this isn't even that serious of a case. I can only imagine how much worse it gets and I feel bad for everyone who's ever had to deal with them.
