My name is Lynn Steyaart and I am the owner/operator of the commercial salmon troller F/V Honeywilya which is home ported out of Petersburg, Alaska. Petersburg is a small Norwegian fishing town in Southeast Alaska, halfway between the cities of Ketchikan and Juneau. This little town of roughly 2,500 people produces upwards of 12% of the seafood in the United States. I have been involved in the com
mercial fishing industry for nearly a decade and have had Honeywilya for about half that time. Each fish is hook and line caught, brought aboard, and cared for by hand. Troll caught salmon is some of the highest quality fish on the market. We are all about quality not quantity. Out of the 5 species of Pacific Salmonids I target mainly two species: the King (Chinook) and the Coho (Silver). The King and Coho salmon I offer at Honeywilya Fish are filleted, vacuum-sealed, and frozen. The fillet portions range from roughly 1/2 pound to 1 pound. To insure freshness they are monitored at a temperature around -15 degrees fahrenheit.
