We are back at the Boise Capital City Market the next Saturday 9/19. Remember; fall hours are 10.00-2.00. Yep, we have some new items!
This week, we made it back to the Burns Green Obsidian area in Eastern Oregon...the area was under extreme fire watch for most of the summer, then it burned. 3 weeks after the fire, starts of grass and plants are already showing. The one photo is/was a nice chunk of green, but shattered in the heat. However, one "silver lining" is all the ground cover is gone, and in spite of the ash, previously hidden items/veins are now exposed. the unburned pieces shown were dug from 2 to 12 inches below the surface. The great danger now, is heavy rains will severely erode the landscape unless the new growth takes root. See less
