❤️ Meet the Maker Behind Strong Designs ❤️

Hi, I’m Whitney, the person behind Strong Designs!

I’ve been sewing since I was a teenager, and my love for creating has followed me through a lot of different projects over the years. I even went to fashion design school. I didn’t finish, but that experience never took away my love for creating—and honestly, I think it helped shape the maker I am today.

These days, Memory Bears and quilts are a big part of what I do, but I’ve never been someone who can stick to just one kind of craft. 😂

I love taking things that have already had a life and giving them a new life. A favorite shirt can become something completely different. Old fabric can become something beautiful. Something that might have been forgotten can become something worth keeping.

And my creativity definitely doesn’t stop with fabric.

I love working with vinyl, epoxy, tumblers, T-shirts, signage, embroidery, sewing, and pretty much anything else that gives me an excuse to make something. 🧵✂️🎨

For me, creating isn’t just about making a product. It’s about seeing something ordinary and thinking:

“What could I turn this into?”

That’s really what Strong Designs is all about.

Taking pieces of the past and giving them a new purpose, a new life, and sometimes a whole new story. ❤️

Absolutely! 💜💚💛 This one is a little different from your Memory Bears, so I’d keep the caption simple, colorful, and focused on the quilt itself—and I think the story about your sister makes it more interesting without turning it into a “memory quilt” post.

💜 From an unfinished FFA project to a finished quilt! 💚💛

Sometimes a project just needs a second chance. 😊

These fabrics originally belonged to my little sister, who had planned to use them for an FFA project back in high school—but the project never quite made it to the finish line.

Years later, those fabrics finally got their moment. ✂️🧵

I brought all those fun polka dots and bright colors together into this colorful quilt, and I absolutely love how it turned out!

There’s something pretty satisfying about taking fabric that’s been waiting patiently for years and finally turning it into something finished, useful, and beautiful. 💜💚💛

And this is just one example of what I can create with fabric you already have sitting around.

🎓 A graduation worth remembering forever. 🧸❤️

What better way to celebrate a HUGE milestone than by turning the memories of that special time into something you can hold onto forever?

This Graduation Bear & Dog were created from a graduation gown, transforming something that might otherwise be tucked away in a closet into a keepsake that can be treasured for years to come.

From the HAWKS 2025 embroidery to the graduation caps and gowns, every little detail was created to make these two uniquely theirs.

🧡🖤 More than a bear… it carries a story.

This one definitely has some personality. 🧸🏍️

Made from treasured motorcycle clothing, this Memory Bear was created to preserve more than just fabric—it preserves a piece of someone’s story, their passion, and the memories connected to it.

From the bold orange and black colors to the carefully placed details, every part was chosen to make this bear uniquely theirs.

And look closely at those little details… including the signature heart on the foot. ❤️
