Who’s got two thumbs and a new job? This gal 👍🏻 👍🏻I just accepted a position as an optical tech and apprentice optician. As I struggled to see what I was working on due to presbyopia (iykyk and if you don’t, you will) I discovered an unexpected passion. So things are going to change, but I’m not giving up the saw or the torch! I’ll just be sitting here a little less 💙

Yesterday, came back to the studio for another custom jewelry making experience. We have created such meaningful pieces together, and yesterday was no different.

This time, her son Elliott participated too. After his dad died, Sara bought a certified star in his name, and Elliott has the star map with the coordinates for this precious gift in his room.

An avid space fan, he wanted to make a piece that Sara could wear, and he designed a galaxy pendant to honor his dad. He wanted it to move too (make sure you swipe to the end to see the galaxy soon!)

They both participated in making the piece, and he especially enjoyed the filing!❤️

In Sara’s own words, “I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Elliot on a project that holds significant personal value for both of us. The experience at Erin’s new studio was truly exceptional. I highly recommend exploring her work; she is an outstanding artist, educator, and individual. I was delighted to work with her again, and I appreciate her accommodating Elliott’s participation.”

Thank you Sara! It was truly an honor to create this memorial with you.

If you are interested in your own custom in-person experience, please reach out! These are such magical experiences for me 🥰

I made this piece a few years ago and just had her back in the studio for a small repair and polish. She’ll be flying back out so she can be worn at the owners wedding this summer. I had to take a little video though- how satisfying is that CLICK?! ✨
