I know, I know. I told you guys I probably wouldn’t be back until December, BUT somehow my travel schedule decided to cooperate and a little window opened up for November 15th! So naturally, what do I do with an unexpected day in Elko? Squeeze in some workshops, of course! 💁🏼♀️💜
What happens when you let a little chance decide part of your next creation? I’m bringing something a little different to The Lace Collective this November and I have a feeling this one’s going to be a whole lot of fun!
Introducing WINGS OF FATE, where butterflies, whimsical botanicals and a mystery tarot card come together in an 8×8 shadowbox that’s entirely your own. ✨ Here’s the fun part! At the beginning of class, everyone will pull a card from my tarot deck without knowing what they’re getting. You’ll receive a little information card explaining its meaning and symbolism before incorporating your drawn card into your artwork.
We’ll be working with a real preserved Asian Swallowtail butterfly, gorgeous lavender crushed velvet and an assortment of dried flowers and moss to create a delicate botanical wreath around your centerpiece. You don’t need to know a single thing about tarot or have any artistic experience. Just bring yourself, a little curiosity and maybe a friend who’s always down for trying something different!
