Troop 89 of Enola

Over Memorial Day weekend, Troop 89 supported Enola American Legion, Post 0751 (717) 732-4987 with their Memorial Day. We were there to support our military members and the sacrifices they've made. The American Legion did a great ceremony and provided a very good lunch. Thanks to Pack 89 of Enola for helping out, too!

Troop 89 went to Muddy Run Campground in Holtwood, PA on May 15-17, to kayak, fish, and camp. One of us caught a fish, most of us kayaked, and all of us had a great time. The weather was great for our trip and being able to camp in tents. What a great adventure!

Troop 89’s spring Court of Honor was held on April 29th. We recognized 19 ranks and merit badges over 11 scouts. We enjoyed an Italain-themed dinner. For congratulations to all on your achievements!

Starting June 1, 2026, eligible youth in Active Duty, Reserve or National Guard families qualify for the waiver of the national registration fee. This waiver applies to both new and renewing scouts. Troop 89 suited up in rain gear to participate in our Range and Target campout on April 24-25 at Hidden Valley Scout Reservation. The scouts participated in archery, shotgun, and riffle, with a new addition of fishing. One of our patrols finished in 3rd place out of over 15 patrols!

Troop 89 scouts recently placed flags along Marketplace Way for the ceremony at Hampden Township Veterans Park to celebrate our country's 250th anniversary on April 11, 2026. Troop 89 scouts were recognized during the ceremony for placing the flags and for attending the ceremony. The ceremony was to honor the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Thank you veterans and currently serving members of the armed forces!
