🐱 Something Purr-fect Is in the Works! 🐾
We've been busy bringing another 3D design to life at Marcelle’s Stitch & Sparkle!
Meet our newest creation in progress; a Sphynx Cat named Azrael! 🐈
From those oversized ears and expressive eyes to the detailed wrinkles that make this breed so unique, we've been working on getting every little detail just right!
Our next step? Turning this little guy into an articulated 3D print, giving him movable parts!
We love exploring new ways to bring ideas to life, and 3D printing opens up a whole world of possibilities.

A little behind-the-scenes look at embroidery digitizing 🧵

Sometimes a design may look simple when you see the finished embroidery, but getting it ready for the machine is anything but simple.

Digitizing isn’t just uploading a picture and pressing a button. Every part of the artwork has to be carefully built for embroidery, choosing stitch types, setting stitch direction, adjusting density, adding underlay, compensating for how the fabric pulls, deciding what stitches first and last, reducing unnecessary trims, and making sure everything lines up correctly.

And then comes the test sew-out. 😅

Even a fairly simple logo can take a surprising amount of time and patience to get right. One small adjustment can affect the way the entire design stitches.

This video gives you a little glimpse into the process that happens BEFORE your garment ever reaches the embroidery machine.

It’s tedious. It’s detailed. And yes, sometimes we move a stitch or reshape an area that most people would never even notice, because we want the finished embroidery to look right.

That’s the part of embroidery most people never get to see.

🐾 In Memory of Ninety Nine 🐾
This one means a little more than just another 3D print.
We created this figurine in memory of Ninety Nine, a very loved dog who has passed away. Using photos as a reference, we worked to capture her shape, expression, ears, coat, and little details that made her recognizable.
There’s something really special about being able to turn a photo into a physical keepsake you can hold onto.
We’re continuing to refine this process, but seeing Ninety Nine come to life as a 3D printed memorial piece made this project especially meaningful. ❤️
