Today, 5/14, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, we invite you to join us for our FREE Community Resource Event featuring 5 amazing vendors ready to connect you with helpful services and information.

Vendors include: UnitedHealthcare, Vchd-dis LM Mobile, CareSource , Matthew 25 AIDS Services, and Health Access Navigator Ascension, St. Vincent.

Whether you have questions about your medical or health needs, need a new phone, or are looking for employment, this event is here to help.

We will have 3 options for our luncheon today
Option 1 The Cheese Queen gourmet grilled cheese truck will be providing cheese hamburgers and chips
Option 2 Meatloaf, Mash potatoes, peas/carrots, and roll
Option 3 Stuffed Pepper, Mash potatoes, peas/carrots, and roll

Dessert and Drink provided to all.

This is for our unhoused neighbors, who will each receive a free meal voucher. Extra bonus this month…we will have free assorted breads available.

Professional piercing, however, is not retail. It is a clinical, anatomy-based service that involves sterile technique, implant placement, and long-term responsibility for what happens in your body.

Here’s what that includes when you’re pierced in my studio:

Professional jewelry material sourcing and inspection, including implant-grade options, ultrasonic cleaning, and sterilization using medical-grade equipment with documented protocols.

🏥 Clinical & Professional Standards
Licensing, insurance, sterilization validation, continuing education, anatomy-focused training, and regulatory compliance.

🩺 Procedure & Responsibility
Anatomical assessment, safe placement, risk management for migration or rejection, aftercare education, and professional accountability beyond the moment of service.

🧠 Professional Expertise
Years of experience, anatomy-based decision making, trauma-informed consent, technique adaptation for individual anatomy, and ethical refusal when a piercing is not appropriate.

The bottom line:
Professional piercing isn’t priced like internet jewelry because it isn’t the same service.
You’re not just paying for a piece. You’re paying for how it’s handled, how it’s placed, and who stands behind it, consistent with modern professional standards recognized by organizations like the Association of Professional Piercers (APP).

While Polly Poke It Piercings is not currently an APP-recognized studio, our piercing practices are intentionally aligned with APP-published guidelines and contemporary professional standards, with continuous review and improvement to reflect current best practices within our space.

Different choices come with different levels of risk, responsibility, and support, and clients are always free to choose what works best for them.
