Shabbat Shalom!

Our ECLC classes have been having so much fun celebrating the High Holidays! From blowing the shofar to making their own apples and honey, our children have been soaking up the sounds and tastes of Rosh Hashanah all week.

As we head into Shabbat, we're also looking ahead to Yom Kippur this weekend. Wishing our community an easy and meaningful fast.

A reminder that the J will close at 3pm on Sunday, September 20, and remain closed on Monday, September 21 in observance of Yom Kippur.

Shabbat Shalom and G'mar Chatimah Tovah (may you be sealed for a good year)!

What a year! Thank you to our incredible children, families, and staff for another amazing ECLC school year. We can't wait to do it all again starting 8/24! And a BIG Mazel Tov to our rising kindergarteners! We know you will do great things.

Shabbat Shalom! Our ECLC Annual Learning Exhibit — Tracing Children's Thinking: Stories of Inquiry, Expression, and Belonging — is up now in the Bodzin Art Gallery!

This exhibit celebrates the many ways young children make meaning of their world. Through inquiry, play, relationships, creativity, and collaboration, each classroom journey reveals the richness of children's ideas and the unique paths they take as learners. From infants exploring through their senses to older children investigating identity, community, sound, storytelling, and nature, this exhibit highlights the visible traces of learning that emerge when children's thinking is honored, documented, and shared.

Come take a look next time you're at the J!

We asked our teachers and families what makes the ECLC special. This is what they said.

ECLC is a place where teachers follow your child's curiosity, where families find community, and where the connections you make last long after the preschool years. Our educators show up with curiosity and intention, and our families show up for each other.

Thank you to everyone who shared their story. Our teachers, families, and kids say it better than we ever could!

If your family is looking for a place like this for the 2026-2027 school year, we would love to meet you. A few spots remain across our full-day full-time 0-5 programs. Schedule a tour at theJ.org/ECLC.
