📣PSA: Parade Season Yeah 🍭🤪

👍 Did yall lock up your precious items like jewelry, flatbed, chainsaw, sheep, and cows before yall left to the Parade?
Usually during parade season, people start missing stuff at home, people start stealing. Leave someone at home to watch your stuff and cattle.
Oh and be safe when your at the parade, be observant, drink water, pickup your trash, dont fight over spots, put your vehicle in park to, leave those aunties and uncles alone 😂🤘🏻🤪👍💫💙👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 be safe, no drinking and driving, buckle up.
Be nice to the burrito lady and vendors. Please, please, bring small change when your purchasing and remember phone signal gets congested in overcrowded places like the parade. Bring tissue and umbrellas and chairs for your elders. Be mindful of others and have a great time at the parade. Smile every once in awhile too 😂 👌 💐

𝗬𝗮́’𝗮́𝘁’𝗲́𝗲́𝗵 𝗚𝗵𝗮́𝗮́𝗷𝗶’!

As we welcome October, we enter a meaningful season of gratitude, reflection, renewal and new beginnings.

Our elders teach us that the Diné New Year begins with the new moon of Ghááji’ or when new snow rests upon our sacred mountains. Ghááji’ represents the separation of seasons—the transition from the warmth and growth of summer into the colder months of winter. For generations, this change has reminded us that every season has a purpose and every ending makes way for a new beginning.

As the growing season comes to a close and families prepare for winter, we are reminded to be thankful for all the past year has given us—the blessings we received, the challenges that strengthened us, the moments that shaped us and the wisdom we gained along the way.

As we begin a new year, we carry those lessons forward. We give thanks for our families, our elders, our children, our homeland and the teachings that keep us grounded in who we are. We also look ahead with gratitude for what is still to come—new opportunities, new memories and blessings yet to be received.

May this new year bring renewed purpose, stronger families and continued growth. May we enter it thankful for where we have been, hopeful for where we are going and committed to walking forward together.

May Ghááji’ bring good health, happiness, strength and many blessings to all across our Navajo Nation.
