With 40 years of experience in the jewelry industry, Rick can create that one-of-a-kind or special order in-house.

Working with the finest quality gold and gemstones, Rick will craft a unique custom designs or repair your favorite pieces. Much of the gold offered in the national chain stores is frail. That means it may look good on the outside but is underweight or of lesser value. At Rick Terry Jewelry Designs you will get the gold you want and the quality you expect at a fair price. Located in the corner of Campbell Station Road and Kingston Pike, Rick Terry Jewelry Designs has been serving the West Knoxville/Farragut Community since 1987 and our second location on South Gay Street in Downtown Knoxville, Rick's goal is to provide family heirlooms that will last for generations. "I want to go back 50 years ago: and replicate what jewelers were then - intricate craftsmen that were masterful at their skill and paid close attention to every tedious, minute detail," said Terry, "That's what I do. That’s what has disappeared in the jewelry business, and I'm here to bring it back." Rick Terry Jewelry Designs is growing, along with his wife Patty and Son Matthew the store now employs other staff to help you with expert repairs or choosing that special piece of jewelry. Another Family Heirloom converted into a whole new generation of life! The Opal was provided by the customer and we created a vintage inspired halo and provided the Pearls. The opal is protected by the multiple prongs, which also created a mill-grain style boarder between the two stone types. We truly enjoyed this build and look forward to maintaining it for many years to come!

This was a truly special project we just finished up. It was created by modifying her wedding band parts which had been recently cut off from being stuck on her finger, and using her late husbands band as the main frame. We tried to come up with a creative way to fabricate something representative of their journey together. They were Highschool sweethearts graduating from Farragut in the 70's, and had an amazing life together. When discussing the project she mentioned how he was a Pink Floyd fan, and this sparked an awesome idea to have a Quartz stone custom cut to perfectly fit inside his band using her wedding band pieces to create the prongs and bail. It was a very fun project and we were truly honored to be trusted to help recreate something the customer can wear every day, giving her the opportunity to honor their memories and time together!
