I loved seeing everyone’s opinions on my last post comparing the real-life photos of my rings to the edited versions, so I thought I’d share another one! 🥹✨

Something I don’t think I’ve shared enough about Oliver Rose Jewelry Co. is the thought that goes into creating each piece. Every design starts as an idea in my head, and then I work to bring it to life through the design process before it’s actually handcrafted.

And a lot of those ideas come from my love of fantasy, fairytales, and storytelling. 🏰🦋 I think there’s a little girl in so many of us who never really stopped loving Disney princesses, enchanted castles, beautiful gowns, and the idea that something magical might exist just beyond the ordinary world. We grow up, but I don’t think we necessarily grow out of that part of ourselves.

That’s really what I want my jewelry to capture. I want to create pieces that feel like they belong in a story. Something a princess might have worn, a ring that could’ve been passed down through generations of a royal family, or a treasure hidden away in an enchanted kingdom. Except instead of just imagining those things, I want us to actually be able to wear them. ✨

So here’s another one of my designs, photographed in real life alongside an edited version. I’d love your opinions again! Does the edited photo still feel true to the actual piece? And more importantly, does this ring look like it belongs in a fairytale? 👑💕

I want y’all’s opinions! 🥰💍

I’ve been experimenting with editing the photos of my jewelry to give them a more professional, polished look for my Etsy shop, but I’m curious what everyone thinks!

I’m sharing some side-by-side comparisons of the original photos and the edited versions. One thing I’m VERY particular (and probably a little paranoid 😂) about is making sure the photos accurately represent the actual pieces.

Since I design these rings myself, the little details are really important to me, and the last thing I want is for someone to order a ring expecting one thing and receive something that looks different in person.

I love the softer, more professional look of the edited photos, but I never want the editing to change the appearance of the stones, settings, colors, or details.

So tell me what you think! Do the edited photos still look like accurate representations of the originals? And if you were shopping for jewelry online, which photos would you prefer to see?
