Apparently we have now become ISIS
The ex*****on of former Army Maj. Nidal Hasan by firing squad will be live streamed, the Pentagon said Thursday.
Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, killed 13 people and wounded 32 when he opened fire at Fort Hood’s Soldier Readiness Processing Center in Texas in 2009. President Trump approved his ex*****on earlier this week, and it’s scheduled for Dec. 3.
“He’s going to get a firing squad of soldiers. As it should be,” Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told far-right activist and conspiracy theorist Jack Posobiec. “We’ll make sure people are able to watch it... Because people need to understand that there’s serious consequences for these types of things.”
It would be the first U.S. military ex*****on since 1961, and the military’s first by firing squad since 1945, according to the Death Penalty Information Center. It’s also thought to be the first public ex*****on in the U.S. in nearly a century. John Mills, a lawyer who represents death row inmates, told the BBC the decision to livestream it is “on uncertain legal terrain.”
