It has been such a long time since I’ve been here! My life continues to feel overwhelming- on a personal level and on a national level. It is becoming increasingly difficult for me to “put on a brave face” and trudge forward, and I am sure many of you are in the same boat.
I am continuing to try to make care of myself in all of the ways that I know how- weekly sessions with my fantastic therapist, being in nature as often as I can, spending time with my loved ones, focusing on the small ways I can make a difference, calming my nervous system with things like crocheting, staying off of social media as much as I can, etc. How are you all coping?
Additionally, of course, as I’m sure you have noticed, it feels nearly impossible to create jewelry while I am working full time. However, I am hopeful that I can get back to making things on a regular basis when summer comes back around.
I started making these bracelets in November ‘24! I ordered all the materials, including the African glass “Christmas beads” because I thought they would be great for you to give as gifts. Then I came across them this fall and vowed to make some for this holiday season, and still it did not happen. But I brought them on the solstice yurt trip I took with the girls and almost finished them! And now, here they are.
There are three- blue, green, and pink, with a combination of Thai & Bali silver, African glass, and gemstone beads. They measure just about 7 1/2” with sterling silver lobster clasp closures. I am hopeful that the bright cheerful colors, and the heart and sun charms, will bring some levity to your day in this time of darkness.
