HEY Y'ALL!! I'm back. So let's catch up. First off I hope everyone had an amazing holiday season! They're quite a few people I know that could use some prayers, so please let's just pray for each other, and if you're not the praying type then send out those good vibes!! I will be making jelly again SOON (just waiting on a part for my stove to come in). I'm having a hard time deciding where I'm going to set up. I'm thinking either Alvord, Sunset, or even here in Forestburg somewhere. Once I decide a final location I will let everyone know when and where. Thank you all so much for being patient with me. This is my first time starting a business, so last year was a learning curve, and boy did I learn! The most important lesson I learned was to not set my expectations astronomically high. So this year I'm getting back to basics. I'm going to do what I love, and I'm going to love doing it. Stay tuned for more updates!

So I feel it's time to let the floodgates of information open. As most of you know, i started pushing my jelly very hard at the beginning of the year. The reasoning behind this was for my daughter. I was working 40+ hours outside the home, which was affecting her in a very negative way. She's an only child, and was dealing with loneliness on top of the stress of school. Her grades began slipping. Bad. So as a family, we made the decision for me to stay home, in order to facilitate a good educational and emotional base for the rest of her life. It really was the best decision ever. Her teachers could not give me enough positive support on how much positive changes had occured in her and her school work since i started staying home. We decided to really be proactive in establishing my business. Now 8 months later it still has not taken off quite as well as we expected. Which is not a bad thing, but we could use the extra income and the stress of HAVING to make a certain amount of money was killing the love i have for making my jelly. It was also becoming near impossible to make. I live in my great grandparents home, which means it gets REALLY hot/cold in here. I was having trouble getting the jelly to set, and it was causing the temperature in my house to be well over 110+ some days. So we strongly started considering other options as well. I am happy to report that i have been 100% blessed with an amazing friend and supporter moving back home, and now work ONLINE, from home, for extra income. This is a full time job, although I can't make enough to SUPPORT a household, i can make more than enough to supplement our income. That being said, we will not be at anymore sale dates this year. I will still take orders, and be more than happy to deliver them. We are taking the rest of the year off, so that i can 1) get well established in my new profession 2) make a plan so that I can go back to selling next year 3) decide the best venue for our little business. Due to the Extreme heat and drought conditions the farmers produce has played out early. And it's too dangerous for everyone with 100+ temps to be outside. The weekly Farmers Market will be closed till Sept 8 for fall produce. Fingers crossed
We will strive to have 3rd Saturday event day on August 18 on the Wise County Fairgrounds from 9 am-1pm
With Back to School theme and Water Slide and hot dogs for our kids.

Ok y'all. Due to the excessive heat, the Decatur farmers market will not be set up again until August 18, when they are having the back to school theme even day. I will post reminders the closer we get. Thank you all so much for your business and stay safe out there!!!

If you can't make the 7th BE SURE to make the 21st!!!! There will be a slip n slide for kiddos 🏄‍♂️🏄‍♀️, snow cones 🍨🍨, food trucks 🍛🍜🥗🍲, AND a watermelon eating contest 🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉!!!!! The contest would be good practice for the watermelon fest for all my friends in Forestburg!! 😉😉😉
