Inspired by my need to help a grieving friend when her beloved horse passed, began Quint-Essential Horsehair Jewelry & Art. The meaningful, beautiful jewelry I made, gave my friend a chance to celebrate her horses' life. As a horse owner myself for many years, I've found nothing is more soothing than a small symbol of your horse to keep close to pres

erve his or her memory to cherish forever. The capability to provide horse owners with a lasting and unique piece or jewelry or artwork inspired by each horse truly brings joy to my heart. Only a small amount of your horses' tail hair is needed, to make any bracelet, necklace, earrings, key chains. I also make shadowbox memorials of many sizes and colors and can include your horses hair, horseshoes, pictures, even halters. Special requests always welcome! Unexpectedly, yesterday Painted Tree Cooper City, along with all of their other locations abruptly closed, with no notice to the vendors, including myself, and as it seems, the employees as well.
I was able to quickly collect my inventory and displays without loss, thankfully. I truly enjoyed having a space to display my art especially in a shared space with other talented artists and crafters. I will continue as I always have, making custom orders and painting when time allows. I will miss browsing and buying from everyone's beautiful booths- FOR NOW.
I pray everyone is able to collect their booths safely and without incident. I pray for the employees and anyone who's now facing uncertainty and loss. Please do not give up! With all the hope and determination in my heart, I believe in us. Don't let this deter you from making your art. Actually, this should light a fire in us to create more, love what we do more, and support each other fiercely. Dare I say that we create our own vendor space without a corporate entity looming over us? How sweet that would be! Count me in!

When weariness and sadness creep in, go catch your horse.

When grief and anger stream down your cheeks, saddle up.

When you're exhausted, and burned out from life, mount up and let your horse lead the way.

It might not change anything, but it might change everything. There is something about leather and horse sweat that heals the wounds of the brokenhearted.

I pray that if you have a horse in your life, that you let them carry some of your load. They truly are angels on earth.
