Once we grasp that God is in control, we view all things through the light of His Word. Seeing Christ in everything enlightens our perspective. Two people can view the same situation differently depending upon whether their perspective is filtered through their faith in the loving Almighty God or not. Reality is that God is in control. "And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure (1John 3:3).

"But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith (1 Timothy 1:5).
Our goal in teaching others must be love. Without love we are fruitless - non-productive. Three things we must operate from if we hope to make a positive difference are a pure heart, a good conscience and a sincere faith. These three enable us to love with God's love. Jesus is the only one who can purify our hearts. As we come to Him daily to wash our conscience with His forgiveness and His unconditional love, the sincerity of our faith grows along with our desire to be more like Him.
