Our store began over forty years ago by Melba Walton, an entrepreneur who has a sincere passion for antique jewelry. Today, Walton's Antique and Estate Jewelry has become a staple to the downtown Franklin community. Specializing in pre-1940's antique and estate pieces, Walton's maintains the foundation on which Melba created the store; a place where all are welcome to share in the love and admiration for pieces of one of a kind jewelry.

Julie grew up right here in the showroom. She spent decades watching her father and grandmother sell jewelry and build lasting relationships. “It’s not a specific piece,” she says, “but rather a feeling and sentimentality behind collecting that I love so much.”

She tells clients to start by trying things on, not being afraid to wander from what they first imagined, and wearing what they love so the people around them get to see it, because one day it’ll mean even more to them.

The collectors whose taste we admire most, the ones who’ve built something with real depth over the years, almost never started by trying to be strategic. They started with one piece they loved for reasons they couldn’t fully explain, and let their eye develop from there. The strategy comes later, if it comes at all. The love has to come first.

We find navette rings most often in Victorian jewelry, where the silhouette was at the height of its popularity 💎 An Art Deco example in platinum is a rarer thing. And this one, with three Old European cut diamonds and marquise accents running down the shoulders, is a particularly beautiful one. ✨
