So, I kinda have some mixed emotions today. I need to reach out to all my friends who have supported The Sylvest Farm. I really sorry to announce that we will be closing the farm to public sales. A GREAT opportunity has come up for us and I won't have time to continue.

That being said, I would also like to announce that this weekend, I will be taking over as Store Manager at The Salvage Store in Franklinton.

Thank you very much for all your support! Please pray for us and rejoice with us as we begin this new chapter in our lives.

So here it is! Final orders from our first crop packed and ready to ship out. Never did I imagine that i would be able to sell 3900 ears in 7 days! HUGE THANK YOU to all those who ordered! UPDATE: Thank everyone for your great response! I have already taken orders for over 1000 ears. I am expecting a good deal more than that, however, I would rather not guarentee any more preorders for the Peaches and Cream. You can still call or message me with your requests and I will distribute on a first come first serve basis when I gather the full harvest. Again, thank you all for your support of local growers! We would like to thank everyone for the response to our last post. The most common question we have received has been "What's a CSA?" followed by "How's that work?" So I would like to follow up with a better explanation.
CSA stands for:
Community Supported Agriculture

The way that it works is that you are able to purchase a membership or a "farm share" which entitles you to a portion of the harvest. Every week during harvest season you will receive a basket of produce delivered to you from our farm. The baskets are generally enough to accommodate 2-3 people, depending upon the amount of veggies you typically eat.
The members fees help us at the beginning of the season by allowing us to plan the crop rotations based on the number of members we have. It also helps us obtain the best possible seeds and supplies to help insure a great crop.
Our members benefit from this by receiving high quality locally grown produce at a fraction of the grocery store prices. They also get the peace of mind from always knowing exactly where their food comes from and who has handled it. All conveniently delivered to your home or business.
I hope this will help explain a little bit about how our farm works. We do still have plenty of spots still open so feel free to contact us with any other questions you may have. We look forward to hearing from you!

We are pleased to announce that we will be expanding our CSA memberships for upcoming 2020 growing seasons. We will be adding 30 new member shares!
Early Season memberships start at $325 for 14/15 weeks of deliveries. If you or someone you know would like to have a basket of fresh, homegrown produce delivered straight to your door every week, please contact us to get a copy of our membership agreement.
