These sweet Colonial customers stopped by a few weeks ago to share the stories behind their beloved Colonial pieces 🥹

Over the years, Meg’s husband, Ben, has gifted her meaningful pieces to celebrate life’s milestones — including a remounted wedding set for their 20th anniversary, a beautiful diamond and ruby ring for their 25th, pearl and diamond earrings for their son’s wedding, and even a pearl necklace “just because he got his haircut and was in the area.” 🤍

Their connection to Colonial began long before that — Meg’s parents purchased their rings from us when we were located across the street at 9 W Patrick Street, before getting engaged on Christmas Eve in 1960 💍

As Meg said, “Colonial Jewelers is a trusted name in Frederick.” We love hearing customer stories, because your stories are our legacy. Thank you for choosing Colonial!

Another moment for this beautiful custom engagement ring that we shared earlier this month.✨

This is a bezel setting, which refers to the way the center diamond is entirely framed in gold all the way around. Bezel settings are sleek, and offer a great deal of protection to the diamond or gemstone (but it's still just as important to get bezel set rings checked every 6 months!)

There’s nothing "little" about this stunning three-piece custom wedding set — but there's endless meaning behind it 💚

We incorporated diamonds from our customer’s original wedding set into a completely reimagined design for her anniversary.

This stack features two open bands adorned with round brilliant and baguette-cut diamonds, accented by vivid peridot and tourmaline for an unexpected touch of color.

At the center, her original round brilliant diamond was reimagined in an elongated setting and paired with a hand-selected 2.21 carat natural marquise diamond — creating a striking, one-of-a-kind design crafted to celebrate their next chapter together. 💍
