Liberty Jewelers & Favorite Things Boutique Local jewelry store providing quality jewelry, gifts, customer service and repair service.

In October 1981, Chris and Anita Meeuwenberg joint purchased a jewelry store with their daughter Christine and her husband Bruce Youker, in Fremont, Michigan. Reopening as Liberty Jewelers, the store quickly became a staple of the local community by providing beautiful merchandise and exceptional customer service. After the Meeuwenbergs retired, ownership of the store passed to Christine Shafer (f

ormerly Youker). Christine expanded the business by relocating in 2008 to a larger store, forming ‘Favorite Things Boutique’ (a gift section of the store), and launching a website. In December 2025, Christine retired, transferring ownership to John and Susan Meidema, co-owners of Rogers Jewelers in Big Rapids. At Liberty Jewelers the experienced and friendly staff is welcoming and ready to help. Whether it is selecting the perfect gift or needing a free cleaning for cherished jewelry, they are always happy to assist.
