STORY AND QUESTION!

I want to ask you something and I would really love your honest thoughts.

I’m in a few jewelry groups on Facebook and yesterday I asked why one of my charms hasn’t been selling. Most people were kind and helpful, but a couple were pretty harsh and in my opinion, mean about the fact that I use AI for my photos.

For the record, every piece of jewelry is handmade by me. But I do use AI for photos. I don't use AI for my captions because I believe my own voice is very important.

These are not so nice ladies came right out and said that I probably don't even make the jewelry, which honestly really bothered me.

So much so that I went to Michaels yesterday and bought props and I’m going to try and move away from using AI as much.

But now I’m really curious. What do you think about using AI for product photos?

I posted (not the charm that I put in the Facebook group) above in my photo, an example of my raw photograph and an AI version of my newest, hummingbird charm.

I would truly love your honest opinion because I’m kind of in the middle of figuring this out.

Wip ( sort of). A little look at what has been on my bench lately.

For whatever reason, at least for me, this business always feels a bit like feast or famine. These were all just a few of my recent orders and I’m so grateful for every single one.

Everything has been shipped out and I’m actually all caught up now, which feels really good. At the moment I just have two small custom orders to work on.

Thank you truly for all the support. It means more than you know. And I am so grateful at how popular my new copper pieces have been. It truly warms my heart.

A little sneak peek today.

I realized I had a silver hummingbird charm in my Etsy shop but not a copper one, which honestly surprised me. So I used the same design from the earrings I shared yesterday and turned it into a charm.

Getting something listed takes more time than I ever expect between photos and writing everything up, but I loved this one so much I couldn’t wait. I just had to share a few of the photos I do have finished.

Hoping to get this into my Etsy shop later today and I’ll definitely let you know when it is.

These hummingbird earrings were not on my list at all.

Do you ever get an idea in your head and just have to follow it. That was this for me. I could not let it go until I made them.

I think part of why I love hummingbirds so much is the feeling they bring. They always remind me of all the natural beauty and small joys in the world, despite all the chaos we humans create. Lol and they are just such amazing birds.

I just finished this new copper initial charm bracelet and I love how personal this one can be.

And I actually got it listed in my Etsy shop yesterday! Woo hoo me. Lol. 😂

The letters are Gothic and you can really make it your own. Your name, your children’s initials, or even a word that means something to you like love or joy.

You know me, I’m always drawn to pieces that carry a little meaning.

I love the idea of wearing something that reminds you of how you want to feel or who you want to be throughout the day.

I’m finally sharing my three owl silver charm that I previewed last week.

Every time I look at them I think of the saying see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil even though these little guys are not exactly in those poses. Maybe it’s just because there are three of them.🙃😝

I don’t know what it is about owls, but I’ve always loved them. They just have this calm, knowing kind of feel to them.

Trying to do better about making videos and also not completely ignoring my website while I’ve been deep in Etsy work.

So today I’m sharing a closer look at these hummingbird earrings so you can really see the movement and how much they dangle. They almost feel like they’re in flight when worn, which makes me love them even more.

I have always loved owls so of course they ended up becoming one of my newest prototypes for the Etsy shop.

Now I cannot decide what to do next. Do I even list these little owl charms, and if I do list them… which one comes first?

Copper or fine silver?
