Spino appears to like hanging in a mushroom forest. lol! I might have to put one in her cage. Then again she’d probably try to eat it so maybe not.

“Breanna” was my biggest challenge since I broke it and had to Humpty Dumpty it before painting. My beautiful base had to be painted and lost most of its charm but I’m happy with the way it turned out despite the issues. Breanna is actually blue and teal and grey which makes it a perfect fit for my new kitchen!

I haven’t posted in ages so I thought I show some of what I’ve been busy with. Tentacles! Wall hangers, candle holders, etc. Trying to prep for our next craft show at the ARC in galena on November 23rd. We’re helping out the workshop so definitely a worthy cause.

Well I’m sure I will wish I added more details later, I’ve decided to call it finished. No need to be a davinci. This is “Skyler”. Skyler is a super hero beetle. This former dung beetle now consumes a different type of waste and has left behind nutrients to form a thriving ecosystems. So this tiny bug is saving the world.

It’s always hard to put aside me sculpting to get projects done around my house. My inner child throws a fit but these things need done too. I’ve been working on another Stephanie kilgast inspired piece stemming from the question “what if dung Beatles gained the ability to consume all human waste”. Since the finished project will have to wait, I thought I’d share some in process photos.
