Friday Night Lights at Van Dyke…

Galesburg moved to 3-4 overall and 1-3 in the Western Big 6 after a 56-42 victory over Quincy (5-2, 2-2).

And the Streaks are playoff eligible with three wins.

The IHSA expansion of the playoffs, which began this season, means a lot more schools will make the cut that have “losing” records.

1. Galesburg senior running back Prosper Aremu, left, and junior quarterback Grady Hickey get a quick breather, seen at 8:56 p.m. Friday.

2 & 3. Galesburg junior wideout Antwon Walker puts his helmet back on after a quick rest on the bench and then collects his thoughts, seen at 8:58 & 8:59 p.m.

No. 12 had four catches for 117 yards and three touchdowns against the Blue Devils.

The Streaks’ record book is being rewritten when it comes to receiving (Walker) and passing (Hickey) marks.

4. A pigskin rests in a football holder on the sideline and awaits the right foot of Galesburg kicker Carson Stecher, a sophomore, seen at 8:23 p.m. Friday.
