❤️ DUSTIN UPDATE & HOW YOU CAN HELP ❤️
Prayers request for Dustin today & my family’s nerves.. Dustin is getting extubated today & having a temporary trach & G tube placed so they can have space to repair all of the broken bones in his face. They had to place a drain in his head the first day due to the cerebral fluid leaking down due to these injuries. This will be one big step of healing so he can eventually get the drain removed. So please pray for this to go as planned for him & it be helpful in his journey! He also had precedex added as an extra sedative to his propofol, bc he is still getting agitated and moving around too much. So also pray his mind & body can be as restless as possible, though we see these actions as something that gives us hope, he does need to rest as much as possible to heal.

Today Dustin was successfully extubated and had a temporary trach placed. They also removed his drain and did a CT scan, which unfortunately showed an increase in his brain bleed around his left frontal-lobe injury. He is heavily sedated and being closely monitored while his doctors continue treating his injuries.

I started this GoFundMe to help his mom and Dylan, and other siblings with gas, food, hotel stays, and other expenses while they travel from the Memphis area to Jackson to be by Dustin’s side. His mom is currently on unpaid FMLA, and Dylan doesn’t want to leave him.

We are so incredibly thankful for every donation, share, prayer, message, and kind thought. If you can’t donate, please share—it truly helps more than you know. ❤️

Please keep Dustin and his family in your prayers. 🙏🏼❤️
