Over 100 years of history, one extraordinary bracelet. ❤️✨

This beauty is made from antique 1800’s Victorian-era glass buttons, featuring intricate gold detailing and even a rare little treasure — a velvet perfume button! Victorian women used these to hold a few drops of fragrance near their necklines. How amazing is that?!

But my favorite part? The bracelet itself appears to have been assembled in the 1960s–70s, meaning someone was reviving antique jewelry over 50 years ago, just like I do today! 🥹

I couldn’t bring myself to dismantle someone else’s beautiful creation, so I carefully restored it instead, preserving its history while giving it another chapter.

Victorian buttons. A vintage revival. A modern restoration.

Three eras, one wearable piece of history. And quite possibly my favorite conversation starter yet.

Somewhere, 50 years ago, there was someone just like me, giving forgotten treasures a second life. And I have the bracelet to prove it. 🥹❤️

When I found this bracelet, I immediately recognized the beautiful antique Victorian-era glass buttons, complete with intricate gold detailing and even a velvet perfume button! (Victorian women would dab perfume onto the velvet and wear these near their necklines so the fragrance would linger!)

But here’s what makes this piece so special…

The bracelet links date to approximately the 1960s–70s. Meaning over 50 years ago, someone was doing exactly what I do today — taking treasures that were already 100 years old and giving them another life.

Someone was reviving vintage jewelry long before WearEvers existed. And I LOVE that. ❤️

Naturally, my first thought was how many gorgeous rings I could make from these buttons. 😂 But the longer I admired it, the more I realized something.

It didn’t need to become something else. It just needed someone to love it enough to bring it back to life.

So instead of dismantling someone else’s creative vision, I honored it.

I painstakingly removed decades-old glue, cleaned the original links, restored the gold detailing, rearranged and resecured each button, and added two tiny rhinestone accents.

And just like that, she was beautiful again. ✨

Victorian treasures. A 1970s imagination. A 2026 restoration.

Three different eras. Multiple sets of hands. One beautiful piece of wearable history.

I often say WearEvers is about curating tomorrow’s heirlooms from yesterday’s treasures.

This bracelet reminded me that I’m not the first to believe in that idea. And hopefully, I won’t be the last.

Maybe 50 years from now, someone will discover a WearEvers piece and decide it’s worth preserving for another generation.

This month’s WearEvers Giveback is for this guy right here. 🐾 Meet Bud. 💛

Bud is a 26 lb (now 23 lb!) cat who was left behind after his owner passed away. For over a year, someone made sure he had food, but otherwise, he lived mostly alone and isolated.

When I heard about him, I knew I had to help. Bud has now been with me for about a month, and he’s already had four vet visits. He was badly matted, had an infection, and needed several teeth pulled.

But now he’s safe, warm, cared for and getting SO much love. ❤️

Bud will eventually be available for adoption once he’s healthy and fully acclimated. He’s an incredibly loyal, loving boy who deserves to know he belongs.

So for October, Bud is officially the WearEvers Giveback Cause. 🐾💛

From home goods, furnishings, clothes and of course all the vintage jewelry … you’re sure to find something unique and sustainable! Coffee & drinks right next door - make a date out of it! You can find a curated selection of vintage and handmade jewelry all month long at DSSOLVR Durham in downtown Durham! This happens to be one of my favorite, personal breweries, I highly recommend the Italian Pilsner! They are also a very inclusive and community driven establishment, something we should all support and not take for granted these days! And also, a big shout out to the organizer? The Pufferfish Project for the opportunity and being a huge community and small business advocate! I’m really honored to be a part of such a wonderful community. ✨❤️
