I used to not like skulls. I thought they were dark, spooky, maybe even conjuring evil spirits! But I have converted! I now see them as a reminder of our mortality and to appreciate the temporary nature of our lives. I see them as a part of the life cycle, that death is as beautiful and mysterious as birth.
