Sunday Stroll at Acton Nature Center — Emphasis on the “Sort of”
Well hello, adoring fans.
It’s me, Gigi — your favorite 8‑pound supermodel with four legs and zero patience.
So, Mom and Dad claimed they were taking me on a “fun outing” to the Acton Nature Center today. Cute, right? Except it was approximately 4,000 degrees. I’m talking “someone call the fire department because the sidewalk is melting” hot.
We saw flowers 🌷, butterflies 🦋, a giant windmill , and a pond covered in lily pads like something out of a nature documentary. I was READY to explore. I had plans. Big ones. Sniffing, trotting, investigating mysterious rustling things — the usual.
But apparently Mom thinks every single blade of grass hides a snake the size of a school bus.
So there I was:
No running.
No bush diving.
No off‑leash freedom.
Just me, walking politely like some kind of well‑behaved dog while giving Mom my most dramatic “are you serious right now” side‑eye.
Did I miss seeing my public? Yes.
Did I still strut like the floral runway was built for me? Also yes.
Even with the heat and the “no fun allowed” rules, it was a pretty fabulous day. Nature looked great. I looked great. Honestly, the whole place was lucky to have me.
Tail Wags & Diva Barks,
Gigi 🐾✨🌸🐩
Nothing in the world is friendlier than a WET dog.
