Baby Shower Mala ✨💗

This week I had the absolute honor of being asked to create a Mala for a expecting mama at her baby shower 🌸

During the shower, Sarah’s loved ones chose the stones for her Mala. Each person came to me throughout the shower. I guided them through the process of what a Mala is, and how to choose their beads.

I tied their 4 beads on while they wrote a special intention for mama and baby. I finished the Mala by the end of the shower. Tying their energy in to the Mala as well

This Mala was created for Sarah to wear during birth and have in her nursery. Most importantly though, this Mala was created as a symbol of all the people who love and support her and who will help her when this new baby comes in to the world. 💗

Have you read Mermaids and the Cursed Valley yet? 🧜🏼‍♀️🏜️✨

Mermaids and the Cursed Valley is a book Lily Cain & I co-wrote last year - as our love letter to Western Colorado ❤️

Lily created 21 Mermaids (& Mermen) to represent cities in Western Colorado and each mermaid lives in a Colorado water source 🌊

I wrote meditations to connect you to each of the 9 areas and to their land. I also created a Jewelry collection to go with the book. Malas you can use wit the meditations in the book or just adorn yourself with a memory each place (ex. Aspen, Palisade, Cortez, Durango)

I love this book so much, and it’s still such an honor to get to see they joy and connection it brings to Western Colorado 🌈

A few Chakra Affirmations for your Mala practice 📿🌈

You can do these short affirmations with a Mala Necklace, Bracelet, Keychain or simply even your breath ✨

Start my pulling the bead through your thumb & middle finger + reciting the affirmation. Then continuing on and repeating till you’ve gone all the way around.

Right now, I am working on my Sacral Chakra & this affirmation speaks to me. 🧡
